Puck Protection Hockey Drill
This is a great drill to work on puck protection and executing tight turns with some pressure on you. A lot of the time we do drills through cones and tires, by adding the player’s this drill becomes more of a realistic simulation to the game
Keys to the Drill
- Shielding puck. Keeping your body between the defender and your puck.
- Keep momentum by executing c cuts with outside leg
- On the turns lead with your hips
- Maintain strong but loose upper body to be able to make a quick move or get a shoot off
