Differences between Technique and Skill
Technique = The physical execution of a movement. etc. stick handling, shooting, passing, skating.
Skill = Coupling your perception (sight, feel, hearing) with your physical execution to solve a game problem. Ex. Reading when to escape based on the opposing players pressure. Combine the read with the deployment of a technique to solve the problem.
Having great technique doesn’t mean you’re skillful. Understand the differences to get more out of your training.
